The CNMI Medicaid EHR Incentive Program will provide incentive payments to eligible professionals, eligible hospitals (critical access hospitals (CAHs) and children’s hospitals) as they adopt, implement, upgrade and demonstrate meaningful use of certified Electronic Health Records (EHR).

EHR Incentive Program

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has implemented, through provisions of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA), incentive payments to eligible professionals (EP) and eligible hospitals (EH), including critical access hospitals (CAHs), participating in Medicare and Medicaid programs that are meaningful users of certified Electronic Health Records (EHR) technology.

EHR Certification

CCHIT® is recognized by the National Institute of Standards and Technology as an Accredited Testing Laboratory (ATL) and by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services as an Authorized Certification Body (ONC-ACB) for certifying EHRs to support meaningful use. The CCHIT Certified® seal tells healthcare providers that EHRs have received a more robust, integrated inspection.
